Age: 8 weeksSize: 6 lbsEstimated breed: Corgi/Carolina Dog mixCanelo and his sisters were found living on the streets of Texas, where homeless dogs are too many to count and shelters are already dangerously overcapacity. It's clear these puppies were born and raised as strays, as they were so shy and timid with people. Their luck turned around when good samaritans picked them up and kept them safe until we could fly them up to PA to begin looking for their forever homes! Canelo is around 8 weeks old and weighs 6 lbs. We are guessing he is a corgi/carolina dog mix, but since we don't know who his parents are we can't say for sure. Canelo is the most shy and timid of the siblings and relies on his sister to feel brave. He adores other dogs and will need to go to a home with at least one friendly resident pup to help show him the ropes and prove that people aren't so scary. He loves to run and play with his sister and doggie foster siblings in the yard and is discovering how fun toys can be. He is a very clean puppy who does well using potty pads and keeping the soft blanket side of his playpen clean. With time, patience, training, and plenty of love, Canelo will blossom into a confident young boy!
