I'm Charlie, a one-year-old shepherd mix with a calm demeanor and a cautious nature. Life at the shelter can be a bit overwhelming for me, as I tend to be wary of new spots and new people. It takes me a little while to warm up, but once I do, I'm a friend for life. While I haven't fully come out of my shell here, I'm hopeful that with the right person, I'll blossom into the loyal companion I know I can be. I'm best suited to a calm, quiet home, and I would thrive with an owner who has patience and care, someone who can show me that the world isn't such a scary place after all. I'm also best as the only dog in the household, and I prefer a serene environment without small children. With patience and love, I know I'll find my forever home and bring joy to whoever welcomes me into their life. Take a chance on me, I know you won't be dissapointed.
