Hello! My name is Chocolate! I've been told I'm appropriately named since I am just SO sweet! I came in as a stray puppy after joining a family's animals on their property. I was so tired and hungry, I made myself right at home with their dogs. I was really skinny and afraid of people so luckily they brought me to High Country Humane. I really hadn't had much interaction with people before then so I was very scared - the only thing that seemed to help was learning from other friendly pups! Now that I'm feeling much more comfortable and confident with people, I'm on the hunt for a home of my own! I'm such a sweet guy! I love other dogs and look to them for guidance so I need to go home with another dog to call my new sibling! I also come with one free training session so I can find the best possible home for me! But first, I need to meet my new best friend. Is that you? I can't wait to see you! Come by High Country Humane to meet me!! Adopting with High Country Humane means your new pet is fixed, up to date on vaccines and microchipped. We register that microchip (FREE!) and provide a free health exam with each adoption. Please bring a leash and collar for your new pet or plan to purchase a set at the shelter for $5 each. The shelter is open 11-5 PM, 7 days a week. We look forward to seeing you!
