Meet Dave! He is an approximately 8-month-old Shepherd/Mix who is eagerly awaiting to be someone's sidekick! Although Dave had a rough start in life, his past certainly does not hinder him. Once found abandoned, eating scraps out of a dumpster area, he now enjoys playtime and snuggles. Dave is a potty pro! Since he learned about comfy living indoors, he hasn't had a single accident. He even alerts his foster mom when he needs to go outdoors. He walks well on a leash and loves to chase a ball around the yard. Above all, Dave loves his people, and he just wants to be a part of everything his foster family does, following right behind for errands, chores around the house, walks, and everything in between. His foster family includes children under the age of 6, and Dave has shown great manners. Dave will stay quietly in his crate for short periods of time during the day while his foster family is out. He will also sleep soundly in his crate overnight, belly up, making himself cozy in his bed. Dave has fostered with both larger and smaller dogs, and he's even met cats and was neutral with them! Dave is looking for the Batman to his Robin; will you be his hero? Dave is being fostered in Staten Island, New York. His adoption fee is $500.00.
