Meet Isabelle, the serene female Miniature Pinscher tipping the scales at 23 pounds. With a gentle disposition and a heart full of sweetness, Isabelle is slowly learning to embrace the company of humans, observing their kindness in every interaction. She finds joy in the companionship of her canine friends during outdoor play sessions and has been adapting well to various environments, spending time in staff offices to acclimate herself. However, Isabelle is currently overweight and will require a dedicated family willing to continue her special diet and provide the exercise needed to return her to a healthy weight. Eager to lavish her love on a devoted companion, Isabelle awaits her chance for adoption at National Mill Dog Rescue, yearning to share her affection with a forever family.- - - - - -Prior to being rescued, many of our dogs have experienced minimal socialization. As a result, there is often an adjustment period when learning about life as a family pet. We typically do not adopt to homes with young children. Homes with older children will be considered on an individual basis. Common skills such as house training and leash walking will often take extra time. Patience, understanding and a gentle hand are a must. The great news is, many of these dogs come around with patience and being a part of their rehabilitation is an extremely rewarding experience.
