Malena was rescued with an older dog thought to be her mom. She is only about 7 months old and we believe she is a Lab and Shepherd mix. She has some more filling out to do so will likely get a little larger. Malena is enjoying her new foster home where she has been the perfect guest. She loves playing with the other dogs and has met several in her time there and has not met one she didn't like. She is a confident girl who is much more mature than her age. During the day she can be left with her foster friends for several hours and she will nap. During the night she sleeps in her crate quietly and in the morning you usually have to wake her up! She loves her walks but has a slight limp that we are addressing. Malena is so easy to care for, she is house and crate trained and is so eager to please. She has learned her commands and is ready to learn more. We take her on daily walks where she is a great partner even when other dogs come by. We are looking for a family who will continue with positive training as she will respond with just a slight correction. She likes to snuggle near you at night or sometimes she will find a dog bed and chew on a bone or toy. This is a wonderful and easy girl who will make a great forever friend to her committed family.
