NEWBIE ALERT!!â¨Meet Scout! This little cutie was running the streets for weeks. We believe he was dumped. A Good Samaritan worked hard to catch this little and find his owners but no one ever came forward. Scout is an adorable Shorkie we believe. He’s around 2-3 years old and 12 lbs. He’s shy at first but opens up quick and has settled right into the good life. He was a matted mess and likely never groomed before but we were able to get him cleaned up and now he’s just a doll. He’s great with other dogs and doing well in the house. He’s now utd, hw neg (tested below detectable levels) and neutered!Our adoptions are NOT on a first come first serve basis and there is no fee to apply! We never state any animal is fully House-trained. New environments, situations, families, routines, ect. can lead to accidents even with the most well trained animals. All dogs have a $175 adoption fee which includes vet check, age appropriate shots (atleast 2 sets for puppies), dewormer, heartworm test (if over 6 months), rabies (if atleast 16 weeks) and spay/neuter!Puppies/Dogs that are not available for adoption due to vetting not being complete can be reserved with an approved application and a non refundable $50 deposit. Deposits can ONLY be submitted once the rescue has been in contact on your approval and it has been requested through Wags and Whiskers. This deposit is applied to your adoption fee and the remaining $125 is due at pick up.Wags and Whiskers is an all-volunteer rescue. Please allow us time to respond to all inquires and applications!
