Adopt Teddy a White - with Brown or Chocolate Hound (Unknown Type) / Terrier

Teddy would do best in an active home with older kids, or owned by a couple. He needs a fenced back yard to run and play in. Another dog would be great, or younger or older people committed to play with him. Based on his age and size, he is young, we think a fenced yard is preferable, vs. an apartment. Don't know if he barks a lot, but we have had most success with a home and fenced yard to play in. Teddy was owned by a family that kept him tied outside with no shelter. He was obtained as a small pup. The family did not know how to care for and were not interested. Animal Control issued two citations to the family. Teddy typically had little water, and no food. Had no bedding during the coldest part of winter. Small kids of the family would come down to pet him. The next-door neighbor alerted our rescue since they really liked this dog and didn't want to see him suffer. This neighbor was feeding/providing water and bedding. The neighbor bought Teddy from prior owner and transferred ownership to our rescue. Super sweet little guy, young so active with some learning to do. Age: 1year 2 months . WT: 42lbs. Temperament: Good with all people and dogs. Vetting: Neutered, up to date on vaccines, HW negative Training: House trained, knows commands, Sit and Come.
