Are you ready to open your heart and your home to a dog who doesn't know what it means to have safety and security, a home of their own to sleep peacefully in, and always know that their bowl will be filled? That the sudden noises -- a rustle of a bush or a bird landing nearby -- will mean nothing more than just a happening of everyday nature, once they have accepted that they are home and they are loved? Three-year-old Theo, along with his friend Castro, are international travelers from Qatar. Thanks to valiant rescue efforts, they will no longer suffer the abuse of an environment that saw them fighting for their lives every single day.Both of these boys are learning to acclimate to a new world, which means they require a lot of love and patience -- something you have! Theo survived an excruciating experience where his colony of street dogs, his family, were run over by a truck. As the lone survivor of this massacre, Theo was brought in for treatment by rescuers for his injuries. Now that he's safe here, he and Castro are discovering new things and people every day. From what we've seen, they seem to be sweet, kind and friendly dogs. Understandably they're still a little shy, but we think they should come around in no time. Castro is already giving hugs! This is an opportunity to provide love and understanding to two dogs who deserve not to live their lives in a shelter. (They can be adopted separately.) Applications will be reviewed and an adopter will be selected at a later date. We welcome anyone interested to come in during operating hours and meet them, and any of their fellow shelter dogs, here at our adoption center at 639 Airport Road.
