We acquired our pet by abandonment through an app called Rover. After not hearing from the original owner for days after he was supposed to pick up, we decided to keep him because he was so sweet to us. We noticed that he had behavioral issues (being scared of leashes, barking at other dogs/people, whining) so we assumed his original owner may have abused him. He has grown to love us and we have been able to successfully leash train him. However he is still very reactive to other people/humans. He has met two strangers successfully and loves them after meeting them consistently, so he seems to have a trust issue. He really is a good dog and very loyal and smart, we don't have the resources and time to give him the proper training and life that he needs. We believe he is about three years old!
