My name is Wash! I'm approximately a 5-year-old beagle mix, weighing 21 pounds and working on losing a few pounds. I have the typical beagle tri-colors, but my face and build have folks guessing that I'm part something else. Regardless, I'm a good-looking fellow if I say so myself. I love getting attention, which I can't get enough of, and I want to be the center of attention. I've been pretty much hanging out with all the other dogs in my foster house (8 others, to be exact) and the humans that live in my foster home, too. I originally came into the rescue with my brother, Malcolm Reynolds, and we stayed in the same foster home for a few months, but it was decided to see how we would do without each other, and it's working out just fine. I'm looking for someone who will be home with me a lot, or I can go with them everywhere they go because I suffer from separation anxiety, and I will bark the entire time I am left alone. I am an excellent car rider (would make a great truck driver dog). My foster has been working with me on my anxiety with a little medication and leaving me for short periods of time. Thank goodness the neighbors don't care, nor do the other dogs, when I am protesting. Besides, when you are gone, I'm very quiet most of the time. If you are looking for a "Velcro" dog, look no further. I enjoy all people, treats, Sunbathing, Walks, Squ eaky toys, Sn uggles, and Belly rubs. I'm not a fan of bigger dogs and crates, either. I've worked with a trainer that says that I should not be left in crates because of my fear of confined spaces so I'm left in a designated area instead. I just need someone that will continue to work with me on my separation anxiety so that I can feel safe, reassured and loved in my new home.
