To apply to adopt, please fill out an adoption application here: littlebigdog/available-dogs/ Rooney is five years old but he acts like a teacher recalled from retirement: he has no silliness, doesn't laugh at jokes, gives people a look that says "Stand up straight! Pull your stomach in!" Underneath that stern exterior is a sweet and playful dog. Endlessly playful. Despite having been positive for heartworms, Rooney is very active and with his muscular body, he will need an owner with an active and muscular body (smile)! Planning any DIY projects? Rooney's your demo guy! Adoption fees are $200 unless otherwise stated. Senior residents of Dot's Old Dogs Home are generally not available for adoption. 100% of adoption fees are put back into the rescue so that another lonely and neglected chained/penned dog or yard-sale dog can be rescued. We are grateful for your interest. Upon approval, the adoption fee is non-refundable. The fee includes the following: de-worming; grooming (if applicable); heartworm, lymes, ehrlichia and anaplasmosis testing; all vaccinations including rabies; flea and tick treatment, microchipping and spay/neuter.
