Buddy is a handsome young pup, estimated to be between 4-6 months old, with a striking dark grey/black coat. He has a heartwarming story of resilience and love. Buddy was found standing in the center of a busy two-lane country road, covered in hundreds of fleas, dozens of ticks, and severely dehydrated and starved. Despite his rough start, Buddy has blossomed into a loving and trusting companion.Buddy is incredibly confident and playful with both people and other dogs. His journey to recovery has not dampened his spirit; instead, it has highlighted his resilience and loving nature. Although he still has some loose skin, he is filling in nicely and gaining strength every day.Buddy is a high-energy pup who loves to play and interact with others. He is very affectionate and enjoys the company of people and dogs alike. His playful nature means he sometimes doesn't realize his own strength and has accidentally knocked over toddlers, always looking apologetic afterwards. Despite this, he is gentle and caring, making him a sweet addition to any family.Buddy is highly food motivated, which has made his training process smooth and efficient. His eagerness to learn and please his humans is evident, and he is already showing great potential in his training.- Potty training: He is working on it and making steady improvements.- Crate training: He appears to be crate trained and comfortable in his crate.- Dog door training: Buddy has quickly learned to use a dog door.- Leash training: He walks easily on a leash, making walks enjoyable.Soon to be neutered and vaccines in progress. Ideal Home:Buddy would thrive in an active home where he can get plenty of exercise and playtime. Due to his high energy levels and strength, he would do best with a family who can provide him with ample training and supervision. He is ready to find his forever home and share his love and playful energy with a family who will cherish him.Come meet Buddy and see if he’s the perfect addition to your family!Adoption processAdopter will need to agree to the following terms:I will return this animal to APA along with all veterinary records if you can’t keep this animal.I do not have rights to see or give animal away without express written consent and permission from APA.I am not acting as a broker for a testing company, fighting rings, class B dealer.This animal is being adopted as a companion and family member.This animal will spend majority of it’s time with the family in a household environment.It will not be kenneled, crated for more than a few hours per day or a reasonable time period.This animal will never be tethered in a yard, to a tree or anything.I will provide proper nutrition, clean water, exercise and grooming, love, medical care.I will provide yearly vaccine’s & rabies, monthly heartworm and flea/ticks preventives.If my animal is unaltered at the time of adoption, I will not breed it and will have it spayed or neutered within 45 days of adoption. Exception to this is if the animal is to young, the animal will be altered between 6-9 months of age.Proof of sterilization must be provided to APA.I agree that the animal will be microchipped if not done at the time of adoption, proof of the microchip will be provided to APA & APA will be the secondary contact on the microchip.I agree to allow APA to see said animal, if ever needed, to confirm that he or she is being well taken care of.I will update any change in contact information or address within 30 days of said change.APA has the right to repossess said animal if the terms of this contract are not met, or if the adopter has misrepresented themselves and/or the type of environment the animal will live in. The adopter will pay all legal fees if court action is needed to repossess said animal.I agree the adoption donation I made for said animal is nonrefundable.Shelter locationWe are foster based so there isn't one specific facility to visit our adoptables. Occasionally we have adoption events at Tractor Supply, 13641 Hwy 110, Tyler, TX 75703. The fosters / volunteers are happy to facilitate meet and greets for potential adopters.
