Life did not start off well for Cribbs. He came to rescue with a severely fractured Left front leg leg that was never going to heal and causing constant pain. A decision was made to amputate the leg to allow him to grow without pain. After the surgery, he was then taken to his fosters' home. Now spends his days playing hard with other dogs and getting lots of cuddles from cats and children. He is still working on the crate training, and learning not to use the potty in it. At first very timid and unsociable, he has been getting better when it comes to trusting humans and getting in and out of crate. He used to be terrified of being leashed in the kennel but has much improved. He is ready for a forever home that will continue to take the time to work with him and keep this little handsome tripod active and happy!!Adoption processOur adoption process is three-fold: submit an application, meet the pet, then arrange for us to do your in-home interview. Adoption Fees:Kittens: $60, Cats (1 year plus): $50, Puppies: $250, Adult Canines (1 to 6 years): $200, Seniors (7 years plus): $100 (unless otherwise specified). Adoption fees are not a tax-deductible donation as allowed by IRS regulations. Adoption fees help to offset the cost of the pet's care incurred by Coastal Pet Rescue, which are generally 2 to 3 times the adoption fee amount.Some special circumstances may change the fee; see pet's listing for actual adoption fee. All Coastal Pet Rescue pets are current on shots, microchipped* and spayed/neutered prior to adoption. Adopters are responsible for any shots that may be due after adoption (particularly for kittens and puppies that must have three rounds of shots to be protected). Microchip:CPR has implanted a microchip as part of the adoption process and the chip is included in the adoption fee. However, some chip companies require a registration fee varying from $9.99 to $19.99. The registration fees are the responsibility of the adopter and are NOT included in the CPR adoption fee. Adopters may add this cost to their adoption fee to have CPR register the chip on their behalf. 30 Days Pet Insurance: As a Petfinder member, all adopters are entitled to a free 30 day insurance policy through PetFirst. Coastal Pet Rescue is not responsible for this policy. Adopters must call PetFirst’s toll-free number 855-710-XXXX to activate the coverage. If adopters fail to call, the policy will not be activated.Shelter locationOur pets all live in our homes, so adoption applications must be submitted for appointments to be made to see the pets. We also have them with us at our outdoor events, so view our "events" calendar on our website for those dates and locations.
