Hi there, my name is Dennis and I am a very handsome and scruffy blonde Terrier mix, about 1 year old, 19 lbs, and I was a stray dog in San Antonio Texas, picked up by Animal Control and sent to doggy jail after I was attacked by a dog and needed medical care for a puncture wound on my neck. Lucky for me, I was saved from the euthanasia list (yes they were going to kill me!) when 4 Little Paws Rescue covered my bail and sent me to a very nice foster home, where I’m having fun and I even get to go to work with my foster parents. I’m like the handsome store mascot, casually lying around where I can keep an eye on all the action. I’m just easygoing and chill and enjoy hanging out and I guess I would say I’m a velcro dog since I can't think of anything better than being with my peeps. Not even other dogs or playing or treats can beat time spent with humans, although I do get along with everyone. I can be a bit shy at first meeting, but I’ll still stand there and let you pet me if you want. I just won't be trying to kiss you until I’m yours and you are mine, LOL. Then all bets are off, I’m loveable, snuggly, cuddly, and kissy, and enjoy gazing at you with my gorgeous eyes, knowing you hung the stars and the moon. Yep, I’m a loverboy. I am also a good boy in the house, even when I’m left alone, I’ll just whine for a bit but I don't freak out or try to eat the walls to find you. I am already housebroken, don't dig in the yard or chew your belongings, I rarely bark and I don't even shed! I love going for walks and rides in the car are fine by me. My foster mom pretty much takes me everywhere and I do great! I’d have to say my future looks bright cuz so many people will want to adopt me since I’m easy to love, easy to live with, and I’m easy on the eyes, wink-wink. East Coast people start inquiring and let's get this party started! * 4 Little Paws is based in CT. We adopt in many different states along the East Coast. Transport costs are included in the adoption fee. If you are located outside the states we typically adopt to, we have options to get the dog of your dreams to your location.Adoption processPlease DO NOT apply unless the entire family / household is on board with adopting one of our dogs. We must receive an application for you to move forward in the process. Thoughtful direct emails are welcome and will be answered. However, an application is still a necessary step. We want to make sure we find our dogs a perfect fit with a family so both the dog and the family are happy. We keep our dogs with fosters once we get them out of shelters for a little bit to learn and understand their personalities. Our relationship with families doesn't stop at adoption! We are always available for any follow up questions and are happy to be a resource as you and your new pet settle into a routine.Shelter locationall of our dogs come to Westport CT from TX and get picked up by adopters from here.
