Great Pyrenees Mix Dog for Adoption in Hamilton, Montana, 59840 USNickname: Roo Posted Breed: Great Pyrenees / Mixed (medium coat). Adoption Fee: 400. Roo is 7-8 months old, best guess. He is shy and sweet. He warmed right up to people when treats were presented and wags his tail. We did not know anything really about him since this is a true rescue case. We were not sure if he was good with cats, kids, chickens, birds, farm animals etc. but just heard from his former foster who can verify that Roo is fantastic with kids and horses. He did not bother the foster's chickens and he didn't try to escape the fencing. "He did not get much leash training as he would not leave the my side so we just walked. " We are learning more about him and can see that he will need a lot of love and support, especially now that he is with a new foster family.... this is what they just told us: Roo is doing great! He's been eating three times a day & is learning to walk on the leash. I don't think he really understands the point of a walk, but he comes with us anyways! He has been eating well. Three times a day. I think he has gained a pound or so & his diarrhea has gotten better. He's been a good sleeper. We started working with him on basic commands Wednesday and I think he will pick up on them quick. He is so soft and such a good boy!!
