Hazel is a beautiful 2-year old female (possible) Collie/Shepherd mix who was brought to the HSOV on May 26, 2024 by a Good Samaritan who had found her in the Whipple Ohio area several weeks ago. Hazel was not wearing a collar, and she was not microchipped. This gorgeous girl has a golden brown medium-haired coat, a long fluffy tail, and an adorable face with brown 'teddy bear' eyes, black shading on her long muzzle, and short floppy ears which are fringed with wispy curly hair. Hazel has a super-friendly outgoing personality and is full of playful puppy-like energy. She was in the height of her glory when HSOV Volunteer Tracy Lynn Moore accompanied her for outdoor glamour photos on May 29th and engaged in fun-and-games with Hazel. This big girl loves to give 'bear hugs' and is a pushover for attention. Hazel weighs 62.6 lbs and walks fairly well on a leash. In compliance with the Ohio Revised Code, Hazel was held for three days so that her family would have an opportunity to reclaim her with proof of ownership. As of May 30th, nobody has called or came looking for this awesome girl. Since she was not reclaimed, Hazel was spayed on June 5, 2024 and was also given rabies vaccine.If you have any questions or would like to adopt Hazel (Spayed), please reach out to the adoption group directly.
