Say hello to Honey! Honey is a wonderful 3-4 year old Golden Retriever/ Labrador mix looking for her forever home. She was surrendered by the Good Samaritan who originally found her in a ditch, malnourished and injured, but who was not able to keep her. Despite the hardships she has faced in her life Honey is one of the most people-loving dogs her foster has ever worked with. Her only desire in life is to be loved. She will return your love tenfold. Her happiness is infectious. Honey is low to medium energy. She is a little overweight and her foster mom is working hard to help Honey shed a few pounds. She is learning the commands to come, sit, and stay. She loves walks but needs work on a leash. Honey tends to bark at people coming to the door and at strange noises she hears outside. We recently learned she is afraid of fireworks. Because of her past experiences, Honey will do best in a home with no other pets and children 8+ years old. She will need a fenced yard to run in. She will thrive in this environment.
