Ellie (A132909) is a 1-year-and-11-month-old AK Husky who weighed 48 pounds on intake! 10/08/24 This energetic girl is Ellie! Ellie was surrendered because her escape artist tendencies were too much for her prior owner and they feared that she might get hit by a vehicle when at large. She is looking for an owner who will be able to keep her contained! She should be on a leash, secure tie-out, or supervised when in a fenced in yard. Her prior owner stated that she is a sweet girl who really just likes to run! She would probably love to become a skijor buddy or possibly a bikejor buddy! Ellie is looking for an active owner who will be able to keep her both mentally and physically stimulated and out of trouble! She has not mastered potty training when left alone but if her owner is home she will ask to be let outdoors. Ellie would also benefit from attending a basic obedience class with a certified trainer to continue working on her manners. She was said to become too excitable around children and has the potential to knock them down. But in general she loves meeting new people and other dogs!
