Just look into Joe Fisher's ice blue eyes. This beautiful Aussie is very smart and follows your every move waiting for your next command. He needs to be mentally challenged and is definitely a "project" dog. Joe Fisher is not a starter dog. No first time dog owners. He needs an owner with time and that has worked with an unstable Aussie in the past. Prozac may help but we haven't tried that yet. He'll do best in a home as an only dog and absolutely no small children as he tends to be very anxious and snappish. He is terrified of thunder and will bolt if outdoors. At the same time, he is having difficulty with not lifting his leg indoors so belly band is the thing for him. He ignores most dogs but doesn't get along with some. He doesn't require much exercise so will do fine with a small yard. He does require to be at his owners feet all the times. He does shed and will need frequent brushing of his beautiful long coat. Joe is heartworm positive and is on the slow kill treatment. He will continue as needed after adoption until he tests negative.
