Chipmunk (A136026) is a 7-month-old Lab mix who weighed 53.3 pounds on intake! 09/25/24 This energetic pup is Chipmunk! Chipmunk was surrendered to the shelter due to no fault of his own. He was described as an affectionate dog who seems to love everybody he meets! Chipmunk did grow up around other dogs but his history with smaller critters is unknown. Please ensure you are making appropriate introductions with any potential friends! He would highly benefit from attending a basic obedience class with a certified trainer, and with a little training, he will make an excellent companion. Right now, he does have a few puppy habits to overcome, like jumping on people and counter-surfing. He was also known to be a chewer, so providing him with appropriate outlets for his energy and chew toys is important! Chipmunk was said to be kennel trained but has not mastered potty training. Keep him on a consistent scheduled should help him master this! He has been being treated for Coccidia at the shelter and is feeling much better.
