Meet Lucy! Lucy was part of the group of seniors that came to us in early July after their human mom passed away and their human dad was forced to leave the family home - leaving no where for these poor babies to go. Since they technically would have been considered owner surrenders in a county with an extremely small shelter, they would have been euthanized immediately if a rescue didn’t step up to help them. We think Lucy 8-9 years old and when she first came to us she was the grumbly one. NOW she’s a total love bug or love-butterfly! She’s lost 5 pounds and though still might look thick on her pics, it’s lots of loose skin. She’s an under the cover sleeper and great with all dogs. Very chill !
