Nugget is a 2 months old German shepherd mix puppy, who had very rough start in his life. He was a baby when he was sold off by a guy at Walmart parking lot, and ended up separated from his mom and litter mates. The people who bought him were not ready for a puppy, and Nugget started living outside at only 4 weeks of age. At 6 weeks, Nugget tested positive for parvo and came to our rescue. When we first got him, Nugget used to shake around people, but after a week of love, care, and nurturing by his foster mom and foster sisters, Nugget started gaining confidence. When he went to retest after a week, Nugget tested negative for parvo and was also not afraid of vet techs. He did not shake, and was very confident in the clinic. Nugget is going to be a big pup, already 18 lb at only 2 months of age He is extremely smart, and super fast learner. He likes to stay out of trouble and is not a curious pup, who gets into stuff. He is quite chill and stays within his playpen. He is fiesty and can hold his own (as you will see in the video with his 1 year old foster siblings). His ideal home will have a second dog and parents who work remote or stay at home. Nugget needs someone who can follow no paws on grounds. He is not fully housebroken as he is using puppy pads until he gets all his shots. He is on flea and heartworm preventatives and is kept on deworming schedule. Nugget is currently being fostered in Houston, but can travel to any state, even Canada to the right home. However Canadian adopters will have to pick him up from USA side.
