Shih Tzu-Spaniel Mix Dog for Adoption in Salt Lake City, Utah, 84103 USNickname: Tuxey Dog Breed: Spaniel / Shih Tzu / Mixed. Do you want a dog that looks like a puppy, but is almost 9 years old? Then Tux is your guy! This adorable 20lb Spaniel/Shih-Tzu mix is a sweetheart. He wants to go everywhere with you. He is house trained and crate trained, but he prefers to sleep and be with people. Tux does not like to be picked up. He can be a bit of a resource guarder with toys and food. He is trying out medication for this behavior. He also doesn't like when his humans leave the house and will bark at you as you leave and sometimes door dash. He does well with other dogs, but would prefer to be the only dog in the house or with another calm dog that gives him his space. Cats are too interesting for Tuxey, so no cats in his forever home. No kids either, due to his resource guarding ways. Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-serve basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process. All CAWS animals are fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. His adoption fee is $200.
