Meet Willy! Wahooooo! I'm Willy boy! Ask anyone and they will tell you I'm the best boy in town! I'm a pitty mixed boy, but in rescue you never know! I'm not a big boy, I'm a medium sized boy, so I'd be perfect in an apartment or home! I'm always smiling, and try to be the happiest! If you're having a bad day, I promise to help you make it better! I love blankets, it's my favorite thing to snuggle with. I soothe myself by chewing on them lightly, sometimes I do that with soft toys too. It's comforting to me, and it's really cute! I play well with other dogs, small and little. I'm crate trained and potty trained as well! No accidents here! My favorite place to be would be right by your side, I love my humans! Affection is my most favorite thing! I also ride well in the car, I'm ready to go on a drive with you. I sit up nicely in the passenger seat and make sure to give you great company! Our PNW dogs are brought to you in style by a beautiful USDA licensed semi-truck, equipped with air conditioning for comfort, two drivers, and 2 onboard attendants providing 24 hour care. Our East Coast route will travel in a private, air conditioned 3LP-run van transport. Pick up day is unforgettable! You will get to follow along on their journey through a private FB Event page, where you will see photos, have the opportunity to connect with other adopters, and receive updates and constant communication along the way. One of our Adoption Coordinators can help to find the closest transport pick up location to you! The adoption fee is $775.00 and includes all vetting: DAPP (2 to 4 depending on age and time in the program), Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, 2-6 months of heartworm preventative according to age, heartworm testing and heartworm treatment if applicable, extended medical such as dentals, eye surgeries, and orthopedic surgeries prior to adoption when suggested by our partner vets, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar for dogs over 4 months old, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, cost of transport*, and many priceless years of love and loyal companionship! From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dog’s needs. We provide weekly socialization programs for our dogs through playgroups and group leash training classes available to all dogs in our adoption program, and Doggy Sleepover, Doggy Day Out, and Ambassador programs for our boarding dogs. There is a professional dog trainer on staff to provide support for our fosters and dogs, and an off-site dog trainer for dogs that need more extensive behavior modification. This helps us learn deeply about every dog, prepare them for adoption, and ultimately match them with loving families. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be!
