Hello there, I am Zoey the adventure girl! I am an adorable, playful, and affectionate 13lb Chi mix full of personality and I love to be with my humans! I do rolly pollies for belly rubs and love neck and chin massages, but prefer not to be pet on my head or back. I love to play fetch, fling my toys around and chase after them, and when I’m really happy, I do zoomies and wiggles, and the cutest little prancey dance when I know I am being rewarded with a treat. I do fine on my own, especially when I find the perfect sunny place or on my cozy little bed to just relax and hang out, but I’ll come and say hello just to check in on you or when I am in the mood for a love or need to go potty. I am fully house trained and can be trusted in the house without being crated, although I may need a little guidance for potty breaks when I first arrive at my new home. My foster Mom doesn’t have a fenced yard, so we go for two walks a day and a potty break in between. She works two 10 hour days/week, and I am such a smart girl, I learned to use a potty pad if I need, when she is off to work. I love going for walks, and am used to a leash, but need a little training, as I bark at other dogs and people. Sometimes because I am so excited and want to play with them and other times, I am a bit anxious around them. Sometimes at the park, I will find another dog to play with, so my foster mom thinks I would enjoy having another dog around. Not sure about cats. With a few car rides to the park, I don’t mind them so much, and am learning they are kind of fun! I occassionally bark at loud noises or someone at the front door, but am mostly pretty quiet. The more safe and secure I feel, the less I bark. At night, I am ready to be all cozy in bed with my human, I snuggle under the covers with my head on the pillow and my cute little paws poking over the blanket. (but I can also do fine on my own in my own bed.) I have a tiny bit of Alopecia along the middle of my back, but now that I get baths with special shampoo, my fur is silky and shiney, and I am coming back to my beautiful, queen self. I would love to find a home where I can be someone’s happy, special girl.Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-serve basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal.
