Introducing the adorable Petunia! This pretty girl is the cutest 6-month-old Dachshund/Beagle mix. She currently weighs about 21 pounds and will be a small/medium-sized dog when fully grown. Petunia was rescued from a high kill shelter in Swainsboro, Georgia alongside her sister Penny. These two girls were incredbily scared when first rescued, but they are learning more each and every day about how great life can be! Now in a loving foster home, Petunia is blossoming into the great pup she was meant to be! She is shy when meeting new people and asks that she is given a little time and patience to warm up. She thrives in the company of other dogs and needs to go home with one (or two) to help build her confidence. With her friends, Petunia loves to get the zoomies, play with toys, and chase each other around. Her true playful spirit shines so bright when with other confident canines. Petunia would not mind going home with cats, or older children who can give her the time and space she needs to get acclimated. Petunia is working on her leash, crate, and house training. You can find Petunia sunbathing in the perfect sunspot or having a blast with some toys. While Petunia can be shy, she is eager to find her forever family whom she can love and trust!
