Information from foster parent!Rascal is a curious and timid dog. New adventures like climbing stairs are still scary. He takes well to structure and routine. He does bark in his crate, but quickly settles down. He's not always aware of his size and can become overly excited easily. Rascal will benefit greatly from owners that understand he is still learning to be the best dog he can be. Rascal is house broken.Rascal is a chewer and will need toys to keep him occupied. He did chew some personal items, once, but hasn't since. We kept him crated when we are away and provide him with tons of toys to enjoy outside of the crate. Rascal is still learning how to be a dog. He's learning to play fetch, what toys he likes, how to walk on a leash, how to play and not get too rough, what makes him feel safe and comfortable. His environment he was pulled from didn't allow him to be a dog. His approximate age is three, but he has puppy attitude and energy. I know he'll be a fantastic dog with owners who will work with him (preferably with a trainer) and be patient with him. Just recently, Rascal was medically cleared. He had a bad case of kennel cough. We've been doing slow introductions with our St. Bernard. I think they'll do well together once Rascal learns how to play. To my knowledge he hasn't been cat tested and we don't own any cats to test him with. Because of his size and play energy (he tries to mount, jumps a lot, and does nibble while playing) he would do best in a household with adults & teenagers.
