My husband got Alex in 2015 when he was a puppy. Alex was born in September 2015 and is currently 8 years old. Above all else, we are looking for a new home that will love Alex and give him the amount of exercise and attention that we are unable to. Alex is an inside dog but does need a home with a decent size yard. He has attended a training program with Off Leash K9 in Harrisburg, PA, and has a good understanding of basic commands (sit, come, down, roll over, etc). A new home that can provide lots of exercise and mental stimulation is ideal and we would love to see that for Alex. Alex is a very energetic, fun loving and active dog that loves to play. He is incredibly sweet with a good personality and, like many heelers, he's not afraid to give a grumble from time to time. He was great with our cat prior to her passing, and he is very patient with our toddler.
