Meet Loretta! This 4-year-old Standard Poodle-Shepherd blend weighs 50 lbs. Loretta is sure to be the life of the party and the light of your life with her blanket tornados and dances around the yard. General Behavior : Loretta is a beautiful pooch with a big personality! She’s got a few quirks, and she’s sure to show them to you. She’s affectionate, but on her terms. She’s playful, especially when she’s got a canine friend to play with, but she’s also cautious of her surroundings and the big world around her and needs reassurance at times. Likes & Dislikes : Lovely Loretta loves to make blanket tornados, or really anything tornados, especially if it’s made of cloth. She enjoys rearranging her foster parents' living room and moving blankets and clothes into her desired pattern for her humans to see when they get up in the morning—it makes her quite proud. Training : This goofy gal is a bit messy and could use some work on her basic manners, but she means well. She is not a fan of the leash and is uncomfortable when having to walk with it; she’d prefer being off-leash in a secure yard. She is still working through her general anxieties and does not like to be pushed into doing new things too quickly. Medical: Loretta is a healthy pooch and will require her monthly heartworm and flea preventative like any other pup. Other Animals : One of Loretta’s favorite things to do is play with her canine friends! She will require a home with another like-sized playful pooch to keep her company. She has not been introduced to cats. Children : Due to Loretta’s dislike for high-activity environments, she will require a home without children. Home : Loretta needs a single-family home with a secure, fenced-in yard where she can run, trot, and play to her heart's content. She loves being outdoors so much, and having this is imperative to her happiness. Grooming : As a Poodle blend, Loretta will require a trip to the groomer every 8 weeks or so to keep her coat looking its best. The cost of grooming for a pooch of her size is approximately $85+ and any potential families should be aware of this recurring expense. Overall : Loretta may be a bit quirky but she makes you love each and every one of those silly quirks she has, and who wouldn’t want a blanket tornado made by yours truly?
