Check out the pics and videos of this handsome pup! Johnny is a ~3.5 month old Border Collie mix and exhibits many traits of the breed including being reserved with strangers. While Johnny can be shy in new situations, his confidence builds with each day and he is learning that not all strangers mean danger. Meanwhile, Johnny is having a blast with the other puppies and playful young adult dogs in his foster home. He absolutely lights up around other dogs. As he builds confidence, Johnny will thrive in a structured home as likes having a routine. Johnny requires an experienced owner who understands not only the Border Collie breed but also shy puppies who need socializatoin to bolster esteem, trust and confidence. Because of his herding breed and tendency toward nervous energy, Johnny is best suited for a home without small children who are busy having fun and being boisterous. Johny lives with several other puppies and adult dogs and loves interacting and playing with them. Another adult dog who could be a mentor to Johnny would be great! Training a puppy is an essential and rewarding process that helps foster a strong bond between you and your furry friend while establishing good behavior and habits. Consider enrolling you and your new puppy in training classes. These can provide structured guidance and socialization opportunities. Remember that each puppy is unique, and training methods may need to be adjusted based on their personality, breed, and individual needs.
