Sam was an owner surrender that came to us after a lifetime of living outside on a chain :( However, you would never know he lived outside with chickens based on how well he has adjusted to indoor life in foster! He is housebroken, gets along with female dogs of all sizes - we have found that he may be male selective. He gets along with young kids and toddlers. Sam has not been tested with cats. Sam is a cuddle bug who loves to sit in your lap for pets. He listens well but is a typical beagle with his nose to the ground and therefore needs a fenced in yard to explore in.He loves playing outside in the fenced yard for a few hours a day and then comes in for naps and to play with his toys! Sam still struggles with walking on a leash and we are working on slowing down his pace.Sam is new to toys so he loves his assortment of Kongs, bones, and sturdy chew toys.
