Adopt Vonni a White Bichon Frise dog in Staten Island, NY (41569339)
Location:
Staten Island, NY
Description:
Vonni is a 7 year old ,15 lb Bichon who wags her tail whenever she is around people but is still a bit shy! Her eyes speak volumes as she gives a wishful kind look, slowly learning to trust fellow humans while coming out of her shell. She enjoys resting in her crate with her stuffed animal and keeps a watchful eye on what's going on around her. She is still a bit unsure of loud noises and groups of people but is a great work from home companion (being a quiet participant in conference calls!). In terms of house training, Vonni is getting used to pee pads. She is nervous going outside, but we are optimistic that with time and patience, she will figure it out. She loves to please and she loves to be rewarded for a good job! She would do well in a household with adults or older children who can help teach her how to receive love while respecting her personal space. She may also benefit from a fellow dog companion to help her learn how to enjoy the outside and accept love and cuddles. Vonni is currently being fostered in Staten Island, NY. Her adoption fee is $600. Vonni is a Patron Pup. Patron Pups have higher adoption fees due to varying reasons and are adopted quickly, even with these higher adoption fees. They may be purebred, a highly desirable breed, small in size fully grown, etc. These fees allow them to act as patrons to other pets in our care who may not be as adoptable, or have ongoing costs for medical care, contributing to a longer time in rescue, and therefore a higher cost for us to care for them. Patron Pups allow us to continue rescuing these other animals and give them a better chance at finding their forever homes as well. To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals. For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible. We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.
