Hello my name is Evie! I am a very petite 3 yr. old Boxer/Hound mix and like most of the dogs you see here I haven’t had the best life. I was found wandering with my brother in Saginaw and nobody came to claim us. I lived at the Saginaw shelter for a while, but nobody was interested in me. I was transferred to Ingham County where I was adopted quickly but then I was returned less than 24 hours later because it “wasn’t a good fit”. I was then adopted again, and I was with my new family for a few weeks, but they could not afford to feed me, and I went a while without eating, then they returned me and that’s when I met my new foster mom and I finally learned what being spoiled feels like.Evie is a one-of-a-kind pup; she only weighs about 45 lbs. and has a very calm energy. She loves adults and kids and generally keeps all four on the floor. Evie loves other dogs and plays very well with them, she currently lives with a large pittie with little manners, and she does great with him. Evie is curious about cats but not aggressive; in fact Evie does not have a mean bone in her body, I can pick her up, clip her nails, brush her teeth and she is not reactive at all. Evie will need to live with another pup as she gets lonely on her own, but she does fine when left with another dog. Evie is nondestructive, is good on car rides, and in public places. Evie loves her walks and being a Hound mix her nose leads her. Evie loves love and will get so relaxed when you pet her that she almost falls asleep. If you are looking for the perfect family dog that loves to cuddle and, be the little spoon at night then Evie is the girl for you.Evie enters training on June 14th, is available for meet and greets, and I know that she will get a lot of applications so, don’t wait and put your application in today! Evie will get to go home with her forever family when she finishes training on Aug 23rd. Her lucky family will receive her weekly reports to follow along on her training.
