Max is a handsome one-year old male Yellow Labrador Retriever mix who was surrendered by his owner on October 27, 2019. This good-looking young man has a yellow/tan short smooth coat, a long tail, and a beautiful face with a dusting of white on his slender muzzle, a cute smile, and short floppy ears. Max has a sweet disposition and an extremely friendly outgoing personality. He is full of youthful energy and quite playful. Max adores attention and loves to be loved upon :) He was especially fond of Ethan Gerber (HSOV Board Member & Volunteer) who helped him with his photo session.His family told us that Max is good with children of all ages and that he does well with other dogs. He has not been around cats so we don't know how he feels about feline friends.Max enjoyed being outdoors during the day in his previous home. He spent his nights indoors.Max will obey the 'sit' command. Max is sensitive to loud noises (or people raising their voices) and will cower as though he is in trouble or did something wrong :( In spite of his size, Max is merely an overgrown puppy at heart and he exhibits normal puppy behavior including chewing and digging. Max also gets a little too excited when he anticipates attention and has a habit of jumping on people (which is also normal puppy behavior and can be corrected with positive training).Max weighs 60.2 lbs. He will be neutered before being adopted by his new family.
