Bandit, came to us along with Buddy and Hershey because their owner had stage 4 lung cancer and could no longer care for them. She's super scared and sweet and you just want to help her. The man kept these dogs in crates for seven years. Everything is over stimulation for her. Overall she’s doing very well considering her entire world has been erased and there's so much around new to get used to. She is very very sweet. I believe she’s half bull dog—she has the bull dog snort. She weighs 38 lbs. She lived with other dogs in her life ---both males and females and she lived another male and a cat in her foster home. At first she wasn’t overly friendly with the dogs here but has adjusted after a slow introduction. Bandit is spayed, up to date with vaccinations, and microchipped. She is also housetrained. Phase 1: Our adoption board reviews your application and upon approval we place your application in to Phase 2. Phase 2 requires three members of our board contact you, your vet, and your references. This gives us an idea of who you are and offers you the opportunity to address any of your questions or concerns. We not only want to ensure that all our adoptable animals find great homes, we want to be sure that you are comfortable with your new family member. That leads us to last phase of our adoption process, Phase 3. The official meeting of your new four legged baby. We know that not all animals bond well with their potential Mommies and Daddies. It is common to apply for one and bring home another. Sometimes the animal will choose you! This is why we like to have you come to our location for bonding time. Have a dog at home now? We encourage you to bring all of your current family members to this meeting, two legged and four legged (except cats of course as this is too stressful for cats). Sound like a lot? We can generally finish an adoption within a week. This process is what sets us apart from the average rescue. We will not send you home with one of our dogs or cats and abandon you. We love and care for these animals and they have become part of our family too. We have an amazing community of adopted families that are always available to answer questions and help meet any needs you may have in the future.
