This 4-month old, 25-pound Coonhound mix is a true heart throb and everyone who meets him falls instantly in love with him! A quick study, Del Rio shows oodles of potential for such a young pup. Motivated by treats, Del Rio responds to the word sit and he’s in the process of learning lie down and settle. He is lovely around humans of all ages, and is particularly fond of young kids with whom he is surprisingly gentle. Del Rio likes being outdoors, he walks well on a leash, and he’s currently being taught where and when to pee and poop. Although not yet exposed to other dogs, Del Rio seems mighty interested in them while out on his walks, which suggests he’d likely make a great pooch pal. When it comes to affection, Del Rio gets straight A’s. He’s cuddly, snuggly, and satiny soft. He loves being pet, he loves being massaged, and he even loves bath-time because he derives so much pleasure from being touched and fussed over. Given his tender age, Del Rio is naturally super playful, but he is also rather calm for such a ‘lil fella. You can take anything away from Del Rio, and he doesn’t react. He regards car travel as the ultimate adventure, regardless of the destination. He even takes his puppy medication without a fuss! And naps…they are his favorite!
