He is a 4 1/2-year-old mix of Carolina Dog and Shepherd and has reached his mature weight of 50-55 pounds. He wears a medium coat of red and gold that shimmers in the sun. He is a good boy who knows a few commands including sit and shake" and gently takes his reward treat from your hand. Butter is very easy going and loves other dogs; however, he is not a fan of cats. We ask that any children in the home be older than 12 years because we feel that a loud home may frighten our dear Butter. This affectionate boy loves giving hugs, being brushed, and receiving belly rubs and his favorite activities are walking and playing with tennis balls. Butter would love nothing more than to complete your home sweet home. (ME, 11/8/23)**It is rare that we know with certainty the ages or mixes that make up our dogs, but we do our best to be as accurate as possible based upon our experience. ** Adoption fee: $395 covers quarantine, shots, worming, medical records, spaying/neutering, microchip, and an Alabama State Health Certificate. Transport, if needed, is $160. We consider the transport to be of great importance and, as such, take particular care of the dogs during the trip. We make every effort to arrive with healthy and minimally stressed dogs. Adoption fees for Hope dogs and those who have been at rescue for prolonged amounts of time are reduced to $150 plus a $100 transport fee, as notated in their listings.
