This isn't my first go-around here at PCHS. I'm hoping this time around I won't be here as long as I was before...I'm a pretty smart cookie, if I do say so myself. I've ben in a home with children under 6 years old and I am a good family girl! I'm also loyal to a fault, friendly as can be, and have a sweet disposition that's sure to win you over. My playful, energetic spirit keeps things lively around here. I must admit, I prefer human company to other dogs or cats. I guess I just love the one-on-one attention! I do great on a leash and am crate-trained. My previous home said I was potty-trained too. If you're interested in adopting me, fill out an adoption application online at .polkcountyhumanesociety/adopt where you will also find a link to request an appointment to meet me. Some pets are in foster homes or may already have an appointment scheduled, so the appointment is important to make sure I will be available to meet you when you come. No need to call to find out about me, you can ask questions on the application or email questions to infopolkcountyhumanesociety. Polk County Humane Society is located in Bolivar, Missouri, but also makes transports to the Denver, CO, Des Moines, IA and Minneapolis, MN areas twice a month. For potential adopters in those areas, we can do a virtual visit using FaceTime or another app. Just request an appointment using the same link, but note that you want the visit to be virtual and we will call you at the time of the visit once it is confirmed. For long distance transports, there is an additional $100 fee to cover the cost of the transport ($65) and a health certificate from a veteinarian ($35). Going that last mile home for our sweet pets!
