German Shepherd Dog Mix Dog for Adoption in Augusta, Georgia, 30906 USNickname: FREYA Posted Breed: German Shepherd Dog / Mixed (medium coat). FREYA is a 2 year old, 69lb, German Shepard Dog Mix. She does pull on leash and is a pretty strong girl (a short lead is better), she knows sit, occasionally jumps (not often) and she will stand (pretty gently) sometimes for a thorough body rub and may be housebroken. Her coat has some brindle type highlights which really shine in the sunlight. She plays at a rather mild level and will get her toys from a toy box. Her favorite toy is a ball but it should be larger than a standard tennis ball. She will play fetch with her ball and sometimes she will also play keep away with one. She is treat motivated and is very watchful when she knows you have one. Freya will benefit from an adopter who will take her for frequent walks for exercise and to work toward being better when on leash. She is a larger dog and should have a 6 ft fence. She does enjoy the great outdoors and will be a great companion when out with her people. She gets along with other dogs and the shelter will cat test her for an adopter if needed. We do think she will be fine with children but keep in mind she could accidentally bump into and knock over those that are very young. Freya is UTD on shots, spayed, microchipped and HW Tested (-).
