A SWEET & BEAUTIFUL PUPPY: Approx. 5 months old / Approx. 25 lbs. Hi, my name is Jemma! Somehow, I found myself as a young pup in need of a good home when my family couldn’t keep me. Thankfully, I made my way to Mostly Mutts, and I’m so glad I did – because they are going to find a great home for me to grow up in! • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS: According to my former owner, I liked the dogs I met while with them. I’ve not met dogs at Mostly Mutts yet, so if you have a nice doggie at home, let’s meet! / I reportedly did well with cats in my previous home, so if you have a dog-friendly kitty who may like a puppy friend, let’s meet and see if we can be pals. / My former owner said I liked kids, but I don’t recall their ages. I was very scared when I recently met kids at Mostly Mutts, so older calm children (age 15+) would be best in my new home. • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL: I’m super cute – in both looks and personality! I was a little scared when I first arrived and afraid to walk on leash, but the volunteers know to go slow with me, and that is helping me adjust to the shelter routine. When walking me, please keep a good hold of my leash since it’s new and I may be afraid of some sounds, and I don’t want to pull away and get lost of hurt. I’m coming out of my shell and am not just a good tail wagger – I’m a whole body wagger – lol. I’m also super sweet and becoming social. In fact, I will ‘grumble talk’ with you – so cute! / My energy level is 4 - 6, and that may increase as I get comfortable in my new home. • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY: I am a student in the Mostly Mutts University training program, where I will be learning lots of great doggie commands with my trainer. I’m looking for a family that will teach me everything I need to know to grow up and become a wonderful adult dog. / I wasn’t crated in my previous home so I’m learning this now at MM. / I will need you to help me finish my potty training so please continue to be consistent with me on a good schedule, so I can master my potty skills. • LIKES/DISLIKES: I enjoy playing and am somewhat interested in toys. I bet you can show me how much fun they can be. I’m sure we will discover lots more things that I like in our new home together! / I can’t think of things I don’t like yet since I’m young, but I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training. • MEDICAL: I've started my puppy shots, but you will have to finish these for me as I grow. With an approved application we can set up meet & greets and adoptions with a pet in foster care. We are not yet up to full ‘staffing’ following the pandemic, so there may be times when we cannot do meet & greets or process an application on the spot.
